Shady Resort, Koh Samui

My stay at Shady Resort was quite a mixed bag. On one hand, the location was fantastic, right on the beach with great swimming options. The food was affordable and tasty, which was a plus. However, the service was inconsistent and the rooms could definitely use some updating, even though they were clean and comfortable. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're looking for value and a genuine Thai experience but be prepared for a few shortcomings.

I had a terrible experience at this resort, as it felt very unwelcoming and uncared for. The room was dirty and poorly maintained, and I couldn't even get basic help when I asked for sheets. On the other hand, I later discovered a lovely bungalow at a nearby resort that was more comfortable and better value. Overall, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I had an amazing time at this resort! The bungalows were just steps from the beach and had great views. The owner's attention to detail and hospitality made my stay special. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. However, I wish I could have stayed longer to fully enjoy the atmosphere and activities offered.
